The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry… Robert Burns
Starting over is not unusual. Life’s path is strewn with obstacles. Some hurdles are external, others self-inflicted. Twisting and turning around them means that the planned destination can be lost in the detours. This is what happened to me over the past few years. My desired path, once so clear, disappeared into a forest of self-inflicted obstacles. Lost in the woods, I feared I’d never find my way back out.
The start of the new year and new decade broke through the fog hiding my goals. Now, a trail of bread crumbs is helping me find my way back. I may not get where I was going right away, but for the first time in a long while I see a glimmer of hope.
My awesome partner in writing and life, JT Hume, is helping to guide me. Always patient and supportive, he didn’t push me, but waited until I was ready to start back on my own. He also provided me with another new avenue of expressing my creativity: photography.
In starting over, a re-branding of my blog and website are underway. My long-neglected Twitter and Facebook will be following suit. In the meantime, I post to Instagram on a regular basis so check that out if you’re interested in my photography journey and any adventures in my daily life. I’ve also set up a Pinterest and willing be pinning items of interest on there – which will evolve into mood boards for my WIPs before too long. The links to all these accounts are at the top of the blog – along with one to my Amazon page.
One of my next blog posts will be an updated interview with the ever-awesome JT Hume so stay tuned. More content coming soon!
